Does Privacy Just replace a DPO?+
No — and it shouldn't. Privacy Just is a working companion for privacy professionals and privacy-adjacent teams (legal, security, marketing ops). It accelerates the boring 80% (drafting, reviewing, explaining) so a DPO can focus on judgement calls.
What laws does it cover today?+
EU GDPR, UK GDPR, the ePrivacy Directive (with national transpositions like PECR, TTDSG, LCEN), and US state privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA, VCDPA, CPA, CTDPA, UCPA, TDPSA, OCPA and more). LGPD, PIPL and APPI are on the roadmap.
Where does the AI's knowledge come from?+
Answers are generated by a large language model using specialist instructions configured and verified by a practising DPO. On paid plans you can attach your own document corpus so answers can cite your policies, contracts and templates. Important legal conclusions should still be checked against the cited source.
Can it hallucinate case law?+
Any LLM can. Privacy Just's prompts explicitly forbid inventing authorities, but you should verify anything a regulator or court would care about. The Documents module encourages you to paste source text so review is anchored in your actual clauses.
Is my data used to train models?+
No. Prompts and documents you send are used to generate your answer and are not used for model training. On Consultancy plans we sign a DPA and offer EU-only data residency.
How is this different from ChatGPT?+
ChatGPT is a general assistant. Privacy Just is scoped to privacy law with skill-specific prompts, jurisdiction awareness, purpose-built document workflows (policy drafts, gap reviews, ROPA), and an employee training generator — all in one product a DPO can hand to non-privacy colleagues.

Yes, on the Consultancy plan. You get a custom domain, your logo, client workspaces and audit-ready exports so you can productize your DPO practice.
